Hussousa Wins Gimcrack Stakes

Tuesday, 4th October 2011

Unbeaten classic-winning Patinack Farm stallion Husson (Hussonet-Villa Elisa, by Roy) added a juvenile black-type success (with his 1st runner in Australia) when daughter Hussousa (Husson-Petousa, by Redoute's Choice) scored a 1.5-lengths victory on debut in the $100,000 Listed Gimcrack Stakes (1000m) for 2YO fillies at Randwick. Hussousa (ridden by visiting Brazilian jockey Joao for trainer John Thompson) defeated Snipzu (Snippetson-Pilgrim, by Danehill) & Jade Marauder (Fastnet Rock-Jade Diva, by Jade Robbery). Hussousa now has a win in her initial start for $60,000 earnings. (Click on the link for full race details from Group Race Results at AAP Racing.) Her sire Husson is already the sire of a stakes-winner in his native Chile, via Lady Hussy winning the Listed La Plate Classico Eusonio (1000m).
