Tuesday, 4th October 2011

Rangeview Stud stallion Key Business (Success Express-Business Babe, by Bletchingly) added a black-type success when 6YO gelding Shock Value (Key Business-Graceton, by Fimiston) scored by a short-halfhead in the $80,000 Listed Birthday Stakes (1200m) at Belmont Park in Perth to take this race for the 2nd successive year. Shock Value (ridden by Jason Brown for trainer Jim Taylor) defeated favourite & top-weighted 5YO gelding Waratah's Secret (Oratorio-Blissfully, by Zabeel) & 5YO mare Tranquility (Redoute's Choice-Creatrix, by Umatilla).
