The Verminator Wins Gr1 The Metropolitan

Deceased Lindsay Park stallion & 1994 Gr1 Melbourne Cup winner Jeune (Kalaglow-Youthful, by Green Dancer) added a Gr1 triumph when 5YO gelding The Verminator (Jeune-Fraar Side, by Fraar) scored a 2.75-lengths victory in the $400,000 Gr1 The Metropolitan (2400m) at Randwick. The Verminator (ridden by Craig Newitt for trainer Chris Waller) defeated 7YO gelding Hawk Island (Hawk Wing-Crimphill, by Sadler's Wells) & fellow 5YO gelding Lamasery (Commands-Verse, by Quest For Fame). The Verminator (a $17,000 weanling consigned by Lindsay Park Stud at the 2007 Inglis Great Southern Sale & subsequently passed-in for $37,500 when consigned by Kulani Park at the 2008 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale in Sydney) took his record to 7 wins (also including September’s Listed Wyong Gold Cup over 2100m) & 9 placings (including August’s Listed Premier’s Cup over 1800m at Rosehill) from 24 starts for $561,100 earnings.
