Tiger Hill Adds Italy Black-Type

Tuesday, 4th October 2011

Triple Gr1-winning former shuttler Tiger Hill (Danehill-The Filly, by Appiani) added an Italian black-type success when Irish-bred 3YO colt Figli Fanesi (Tiger Hill-Fanofadiga, by Alzao) scored a 2-lengths victory against older rivals in the €50,400 (A$69,000) Listed Premio Duca D’Aosta (2800m) at San Siro in Milan. Figli Fanesi (ridden by Umberto Rispoli for trainer Vittorio Caruso) defeated German-bred 8YO entire Caudillo (Acatenango-Corsita, by Top Ville) & German-bred 4YO entire Orsino (Mamool-Orosole, by Platini). Figli Fanesi took his record to 4 wins (also including April’s Listed Premio Botticelli over 2100m at the Capannelle) & 3 placings (including June’s Listed Gran Premio D’Italia over 2400m at San Siro) from 9 starts for €102,205 (A$140,000) earnings.
