Deceased Gr1-winning Emirates Park sire Secret Savings (Seeking The Gold-Jurisdictional, by Damascus) added a NZ group success when favoured 4YO mare Twilight Savings (Secret Savings-Ghemashah, by Danewin) scored a 1-length victory in the NZ$70,000 Gr3 Traderacks Stakes (1400m) at Hastings. Front-running Twilight Savings (ridden by Lisa Allpress for trainer Murray Baker) defeated 6YO gelding Imani (Eltawaasul-Sothys, by Crested Wave) & 5YO gelding Justanexcuse (No Excuse Needed-Aggressive, by Val Dansant). Twilight Savings (a NZ$20,000 yearling consigned by Twin Pines at the 2009 NZ Bloodstock Select Sale at Karaka) now has 6 wins (also including 2010’s Listed Lion Red Plate over 1200m at Arawa Park & Listed Selwyn River Stud Champagne Stakes over 1200m at Riccarton Park) & 4 placings (including both 2010’s Gr1 NZ Bloodstock 1000 Guineas over 1600m at Riccarton Park & Gr1 New Zealand 2000 Guineas over 1600m at Riccarton Park) from 14 starts for NZ$293,146 earnings.
