Unbeaten Aust-Bred Entrapment Wins HK Gr3

In Hong Kong, ill-fated former Swettenham Stud stallion Halo Homewrecker (Southern Halo-Marital Spook, by Silver Ghost) added a group success when undefeated Australian-bred 5YO gelding Entrapment (Halo Homewrecker-Miabondialee by Vettori) scored a half-length victory in the HK$2.4 million (A$312,000) Gr3 Sha Tin Sprint Trophy (1000m) at Sha Tin. Unraced for 15 months, former Hong Kong Champion Griffin Entrapment (ridden by Douglas Whyte for Australian trainer John Size) defeated Australian-bred 7-time Gr1-winning former World Champion sprinter, former Hong Kong Horse-Of-The-Year & recently crowned HK Champion Sprinter for the 4th successive season 8YO gelding Sacred Kingdom (Encosta De Lago-Courtroom Sweetie, by Zeditave) & 4YO gelding Let Me Fight (Hawk Wing-Riva Royale, by Royal Applause). Entrapment (originally a $16,000 weanling consigned by Trevannah at the 2007 Magic Millions National Sale & subsequently a NZ$45,000 yearling consigned by Seaton Park at the 2008 NZ Bloodstock Carnival Sale) took his record to 8 wins from 8 starts for HK$5,543,250 (A$720,000) earnings.
