UK Tatts Yearlings Day-1: $1.155m Galileo Filly

Thursday, 6th October 2011

Course Investment Corp agent Alan Cooper (acting for the Niarchos family) out-bid Charlie Liverton to pay 700,000 guineas (A$1.155m) for another filly by former shuttler & Gr1 English Derby winner Galileo (out of stakes-winning Indian Ridge mare Caumshinaun) from The Castlebridge Consignment. This filly is a full-sister to 2006 Gr1 Irish 1000 Guineas winner Nightime & Cooper commented: “She is a full-sister to a Classic winner & let's hope this one carries on the family performance. She will be trained by Henry Cecil.”
