UK Tatts Yearlings Day-2: $660k Oasis Dream Filly

Friday, 7th October 2011

Bloodstock agent Amanda Skiffington (acting for Gretchen & Roy Jackson of US-based Lael Stable) out-bid Charlie Gordon-Watson to pay 400,000 guineas (A$660,000) for a filly by Oasis Dream (out of Barathea mare Politesse) consigned from Ireland’s Barronstown Stud. The filly is a half-sister to French Gr-1 winner King’s Apostle & a grand-daughter of Embassy (1997 Champion 2YO Filly in Europe). Skiffington commented: “I thought she was the nicest filly in the sale & we are totally thrilled to get her. The Jacksons were looking particularly for a filly." She added the filly will stay in Newmarket & go into training with William Haggas (who trained smart sprinters Enticing & Superstar Leo for the same owners).
