UK Stakes Win For Half-Brother To Aust SW Moulin Lady

The juvenile half-brother to Australian stakes-winning 6YO mare Moulin Lady (Reset-Laoub, by Red Ransom) recorded his 1st stakes-win & NZ Rich Hill Stud shuttler Bertolini (Danzig-Aquilegia, by Alydar) added a UK juvenile black-type success (& 14th individual stakes-winner world-wide) when Irish-bred 2YO colt Bannock (Bertolini-Laoub) scored a 2-lengths victory in the £40,000 (A$64,000) Listed Rockingham Stakes (6 furlongs) for 2YOs at York. Bannock (ridden by Silvestre de Sousa for trainer Mark Johnston) defeated the filly Miss Lahar (Clodovil-Brigadiers Bird, by Mujadil) & fellow colt Swiss Spirit (Invincible Spirit-Swiss Lake, by Indian Ridge). Bannock now has 3 wins & 4 placings (including both July’s Gr2 Richmond Stakes over 6 furlongs at Goodwood & Gr2 July Stakes over 6 furlongs at Newmarket, plus Listed National Stakes over 5 furlongs at Sandown Park) from 9 starts for £56,081 (A$90,000) earnings.
