Medaglia D'Oro Adds US Black-Type
In the US, multiple Gr1-winning shuttler Medaglia D'Oro (El Prado-Cappucino Bay, by Bailjumper) added a black-type success when front-running daughter Elusive Pearl (Medaglia D'Oro-Brazen Bride, by Miswaki) scored a 2.25-lengths victory in the US$100,000 Listed Pebbles Stakes (8 furlongs on turf) for 3YO fillies at Belmont Park in New York. Elusive Pearl (ridden by Ramon Dominguez for trainer Michael Trombetta) defeated Hessonite (Freud-Lakab, by Manila) & My Redbyrd (Royal Academy-Polar Bird, by Thatching). Elusive Pearl took her record to 4 wins (also including September’s Listed Riskaverse Stakes over 8 furlong at Saratoga) & a placing (in July’s Canadian C$150,000 Listed Duchess Stakes over 7 furlongs at Woodbine) from 7 starts for US$162,475 earnings.
