Jimando Wins Inglis Debutants Stakes

Thursday, 13th October 2011

Gr3-winning & multiple Gr1-placed stallion Commands (Danehill-Cotehele House, by My Swanee) added a juvenile black-type success (& 42nd individual stakes-winner) when his colt Jimando (Commands-Finko, by Caerleon) scored a 3.25-lengths victory in yesterday’s $100,000 Listed Inglis Debutants Stakes (1000m) for 2YOs at Caulfield. Jimando (ridden by Nash Rawiller for trainer Yony McEvoy) defeated favoured filly Princeton Miss (Not A Single Doubt-Karalee, by O'Reilly) & fellow colt Planet Voyage (Exceed And Excel-Pasikatera, by Thunder Gulch). Jimando (a $50,000 yearling consigned by Evergreen Stud Farm at the 2011 Magic Millions Gold Coast Sale) earned $60,500 for victory in his initial start.
