Gr1-winning & dual Gr1-placed Arrowfield Stud stallion Snitzel (Redoute's Choice-Snippets' Lass, by Snippets) added a black-type success when favoured gelding Hot Snitzel (Snitzel-Flames Of Paris, by Blushing Groom) returned from an 18-weeks spell to score a half-head victory in the $100,000 Listed Arrowfield Stud Brian Crowley Stakes (1200m) for 3YOs at Randwick. Top-weighted Hot Snitzel (ridden by Josh Parr for trainer Gerald Ryan) defeated the filly Combat Kitty (General Nediym-Fondle, by O’Reilly) & fellow colt Mahisara (More Than Ready-Darsini, by Danehill). Hot Snitzel (a $60,000 yearling consigned by Bellerive Stud at 2010 Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale) now has 4 wins (also including June’s Gr2 Sires’ Produce Stakes over 1400m at Eagle Farm & May’s Listed Ken Russell Memorial Classic over 1200m at the Gold Coast) & 4 placings (in June’s Gr1 Patinack Farm T.J.Smith Stakes over 1600m at Eagle Farm, May’s Gr2 Champagne Classic over 1200m at Doomben, April's Gr3 Kindergarten Stakes over 1100m at Randwick & March's Gr3 Skyline Stakes over 1200m at Warwick Farm) from 10 starts for $514,400 earnings.
