Sabrage Wins Norman Robinson Stakes

Monday, 17th October 2011

Gr1-winning Arrowfield Stud stallion Charge Forward (Red Ransom-Sydney's Dream, by Bletchingly) added a group success (& 6th individual stakes-winner) when his colt Sabrage (Charge Forward-Galroof, by Maroof) scored by a long-head in the $125,000 Gr3 Norman Robinson Stakes (2000m) for 3YOs at Caulfield. Sabrage (ridden by Damien Oliver for trainer Mike Moroney) defeated the gelding Sangster (Savabeel-Quinta Special, by Spectrum) & favoured fellow colt Niagara (Encosta de Lago-River Song, by Fusaichi Pegasus). Sabrage (a $200,000 yearling consigned by Arrowfield at the 2010 Inglis Easter Sale in Sydney) now has 2 wins & a placing (in September’s Gr2 Bill Stutt Stakes over 1600m at Moonee Valley) from 5 starts for $142,325 earnings.
