Vinery Stud shuttler More Than Ready (Southern Halo-Woodman's Girl, by Woodman) added a Canadian Gr1 triumph when front-running US-bred 4YO gelding Regally Ready (More Than Ready-Kivi, by King Of Kings) prevailed in a 3-way photo-finish to the C$500,000 Gr1 Nearctic Stakes (6 furlongs on turf) at Woodbine. Regally Ready (ridden by Corey Nakatani for trainer Steve Asmussen) scored by a neck from favoured UK-bred 4YO entire Bated Breath (Dansili-Tantina, by Distant View) with a further head to US-bred 5YO gelding Gypsy Ring (Where's The Ring-Gypsy Genna, by Varick). Regally Ready (a US$110,000 yearling at the 2008 Keeneland September Sale) took his record to 8 wins (also including May’s US Gr3 Twin Spires Turf Sprint Stakes over 5 furlongs at Churchill Downs & April's Gr3 San Simeon Handicap over 6.5 furlongs at Santa Anita) & 6 placings (including August’s US Listed My Frenchman Stakes over 5.5 furlongs at Monmouth Park & January's Listed Daytona Handicap over 6.5 furlongs at Santa Anita) from 16 starts for US$670,683 earnings.
