1st Stakes-Winner For French Sire Layman

In France overnight, Japanese-bred 2004 French champion juvenile colt & now Haras Du Logis-based 9YO 2nd-season sire Layman (Sunday Silence-Laiyl, by Nureyev) recorded his 1st stakes-winner when unbeaten juvenile daughter Boldogsag (Layman-Belga Wood, by Woodman) scored by a short-head in the €80,000 (A$108,000) Gr3 Prix Des Reservoirs (1600m) for 2YO fillies at Deauville. Boldogsag (ridden by Christophe-Patrice Lemaire for trainer Pascal Bary) defeated Irish-bred duo Mashoora (Barathea-Lovely Blossom, by Spinning World) & Rajastani (Zamindar-Rocky Mistress, by Rock Of Gibraltar). Boldogsag now has 3 wins from 3 starts. Her sire Layman has sired 25 winners of 44 races & stood at Haras Du Logis in 2011 was €4,000 (A$5,400).
