In Peru, US-bred Fly Lexis Fly (Badge Of Silver-Becky Loves Silver, by Silver Charm) raced away for a 4.25-lengths victory in the Gr1 Clasico Ricardo Ortiz De Zevallos (2000m) for 3YO colts at Hipodromo de Monterrico in Lima. Fly Lexis Fly (ridden by Carlos Javier Herrera for trainer Arturo Morales) defeated Chilean-bred stable-mate Mr Dany (Powerscourt-As Told, by A.P.Indy) & favourite Invictus (Apprentice-Vida Brava, by Janfranco). Fly Lexis Fly (a US$5,000 yearling at the 2010 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky October Sale) now has 2 wins & a runner-up (in September’s Gr1 Clasico Polla De Potrillos-Roberto Alvarez Calderon Rey over 1600m at Monterrico) from 4 starts.
