Magic Millions HIT Day-1: $260k Red Dazzler Colt

Thursday, 20th October 2011

In the Australian auction ring, South African-based bloodstock agent Andy Williams & Singapore-based trainer Patrick Shaw (who prepares star Australian-bred sprinter Rocket Man) out-bid Macau-based trainer Gary Moore to pay top price of $260,000 for a 2YO colt by Eureka Stud’s Gr1-winning 2nd-crop stallion Red Dazzler (out of Centaine mare Boganvillia) during the opening session at the 2-day Magic Millions National Horses-In-Training Sale on the Queensland Gold Coast. The colt was sold by David Kelly & Lucas Bewley, & Shaw declared: “He's a lovely colt. He was one of our real star lots of the sale & we're thrilled to buy him. He is a lovely individual, he breezed well & he comes from a lovely family. He looks a very good prospect. We'll send him over to Singapore & hope he can go the job on the track.”
