French Sire Trempolino Retired From Breeding At 27
In France, former Gr1 Arc de Triomphe-winning 27-year-old stallion Trempolino (Sharpen Up-Trephine, by Vice Regal) “has been retired from breeding at Haras du Mezeray in Normandy” reported racingpost.com. Trempolino (who won the Arc in 1987) began his stud career at Gainesway Farm in Kentucky, but moved to Mezeray in 2000. His Gr1-winners include Dernier Empereur, Germany, Snow Polina & Valixir. His daughters “are also extending his influence” by producing Gr1-winners Action This Day, Blue Canari, Chelsea Rose, Round Pond & Wicked Style.
