Last Gulch Yearling To Sell In Kentucky Tonight

Meanwhile the last progeny by former US champion sprinter Gulch (Mr Prospector-Jameela, by Rambunctious) will be offered during Day-3 at the Fasig-Tipton yearling sale in Kentucky. The colt (already named Tel Jericho) is out of winning stakes-producer Woodypine & is part of the Paul’s Mill consignment. Gulch (who has sired 75 stakes-winners to date) was pensioned in 2009 after standing at Lane’s End Farm in Kentucky. On the track, he won 11 stakes races (including the 1988 Gr1 Breeders’ Cup Sprint) & earned over US$3 million. Subsequently at stud he sired Gr1 Kentucky Derby-winning former shuttler Thunder Gulch.
