US Sire Flashpoint Retired To Stud

Thursday, 27th October 2011

Peachtree Stable founder John Fort announced US Gr2-winning 3YO stallion Flashpoint (Pomeroy-Two Punch Lil, by Two Punch) has been retired with a “suspensory tear” & stud plans are “pending”. Florida-bred Flashpoint (originally a US$115,000 yearling at the Keeneland January Sle & later a US$100,000 yearling at the Keeneland September Sale) won 3 of his 7 starts (including victories in both this year’s Gr2 Hutcheson Stakes at Gulfstream Park & Gr3 Jersey Shore Stakes at Monmouth Park) for US$271,450 in earnings. Flashpoint (whose dam Two Punch Lil was a multiple stakes-winner) is a half-brother to Japanese stakes-winner & US$1.158 million earner Uncle Lee Sam.
