1st Stakes-Winner For Freshman Shuttler Sir Percy

In the UK, Gr1 English Derby-winning 8YO freshman stallion, former unbeaten champion 2YO & NZ Rich Hill Stud shuttler Sir Percy (Mark Of Esteem-Percy's Lass, by Blakeney) recorded his 1st stakes-winner when juvenile daughter Coquet (Sir Percy-One So Marvellous, by Nashwan) scored a half-length victory in the £21,500 (A$34,500) Listed Montrose Fillies Stakes (8 furlongs) for 2YO fillies at Newmarket. Coquet (ridden by Robert Havlin for trainer Hugh Morrison) defeated Irish-bred duo Abishena (Pivotal-Massomah, by Seeking The Gold) & Esentepe (Oratorio-Mythie, by Octagonal). Coquet was a 30,000 guineas (A$49,500) yearling at the 2010 UK Tattersalls October Sale; overall she now has 2 wins from 3 starts for £14,508 (A$23,200) earnings.
