In Singapore, 5 Australian-bred gallopers scored at Kranji:

  • 3YO gelding King’s Friend (Bel Esprit-Chevally, by Canny Lad) won over 1200m for trainer Leslie Khoo. King’s Friend was a NZ$20,000 yearling at the 2010 NZ Bloodstock Select Sale.
  • 5YO gelding Aserious (Blevic-Royal Tess, by King's High) won over 1600m for trainer Douglas Dragon. Aserious was a $77,500 yearling consigned by Kambula Stud at the 2008 Magic Millions Adelaide Sale.
  • 6YO gelding Captain Obvious (Verglas-Shathor, by Tirol) won over 1400m for trainer K.L.Chong. Captain Obvious was a $24,000 yearling at the 2007 Magic Millions Perth Premier Sale.
  • 4YO gelding Lightning Thief (Court Of Jewels-Angel Of Lightning, by Suave Dancer) won over 1600m for Australian trainer Cliff Brown.
  • 5YO gelding Zac Detonator (Danzero-Lakeside Wedding, by Lake Coniston) won over 2200m for trainer Mark Walker. Zac Detonator was a $60,000 weanling consigned by Willow Park as agent at the 2007 Magic Millions Winter Sale & subsequently a NZ$85,000 yearling at the 2008 NZ Bloodstock Select Sale & then a NZ$60,000 2YO at the 2007 NZ Bloodstock Ready-To-Run Sale.
