Monday, 31st October 2011

In Hong Kong yesterday, former shuttler Danehill Dancer (Danehill-Mira Adonde, by Sharpen Up) added a group success when Australian-bred 4YO gelding Rich Unicorn (Danehill Dancer-Onwards, by Zeditave) scored by a neck in the HK$3 million (A$390,000) Gr2 Premier Bowl Handicap (1200m) at Sha Tin. Rich Unicorn (ridden by Mark Du Plessis for Australian trainer John Size) defeated 4YO gelding Little Bridge (Faltaat-Golden Rose, by Gold Brose) & fellow Australian-bred 5YO gelding Entrapment (Halo Homewrecker-Miabondialee by Vettori). Rich Unicorn (a $90,000 yearling consigned by Millbrook Stud at the 2008 Magic Millions Premier Sale on the Gold Coast) took his record to 4 wins & 4 placings (including May’s Gr3 Sha Tin Vase over 1200m) from 14 starts.
