Monday, 31st October 2011

Gr3-winning & triple Gr2-placed Kitchwin Hills stallion Dane Shadow (Danehill-Slight Chance, by Centaine) added a Gr1 triumph (& 3rd individual Gr1-winner) when 5YO mare Hurtle Myrtle (Dane Shadow-Ravenswood, by Woodman) scored a 1.25-lengths victory in the $500,000 weight-for-age Gr1 Myer Classic (1600m) for fillies & mares at Flemington. Hurtle Myrtle (ridden by Damien Oliver for trainer Matthew Smith) defeated 6YO mare Sacred Choice (Choisir-Sacred Habit, by Sir Tristram) & fellow 5YO mare Dysphonia (Lonhro-Stutter, by Night Shift).
