Monday, 31st October 2011

Former shuttler King's Best (Kingmambo-Allegretta, by Lombard) added a UK black-type success (& 41st individual stakes-winner world-wide) when 5YO gelding Secrecy (King's Best-Wink, by Salse) scored a 4.5-lengths victory in the £30,000 (A$48,000) Listed Ben Marshall Stakes (8 furlongs) at Newmarket. Secrecy (ridden by Kieren Fallon for trainer Saeed Bin Suroor) defeated the 3YO colts Samurai Sword (Motivator-Japanese Whisper, by Machiavellian) & Irish-bred Maali (Street Cry-Agata, by Poliglote). Secrecy was an 80,000 guineas (A$132,000) yearling at the 2007 UK Tattersalls October Sale. Overall he now has 6 wins & 8 placings (including 2010’s UK Gr3 Sovereign Stakes over 8 furlongs at Salisbury & UK Listed Superior Mile over 8 furlongs at Haydock) from 17 starts for £102,296 (A$164,000) earnings.
