Secret Circle Wins US Breeders Cup Juvenile Sprint

Monday, 7th November 2011

Unbeaten juvenile colt Secret Circle (Eddington-Ragtime Hope, by Dixieland Band) maintained his record with a 1-length victory in the US$500,000 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Sprint (6 furlongs) for 2YOs at Churchill Downs. Secret Victory (ridden by Rafael Bejarano for trainer Bob Baffert) defeated the filly Shumoos (Distorted Humor-Wile Cat, by Storm Cat) & the gelding Holdin Bullets (Ghostzapper-Holy Bubbette, by Holy Bull). Secret Circle (a US$165,000 2YO at this year’s Ocala Breeders March Sale) now has 3 wins (also including October’s Listed Jack Goodman Stakes over 6 furlongs at Santa Anita) from 3 starts for US$348,990 earnings.
