UK Trainer May Target Snow Fairy At Cox Plate
Meanwhile Moonee Valley Racing Club chief executive Michael Browell also revealed English trainer Ed Dunlop "had expressed interest in bringing world-class mare Snow Fairy to Melbourne" reported The Herald-Sun. Dunlop (who trains last year's Gr1 Melbourne Cup runner-up Red Cadeaux) told Racing Victoria international scout Leigh Jordon he "wanted to bring horses for the Cox Plate & the Cup". Jordon has provided Moonee Valley with a "first cut" of international targets & will be in Dubai next month for the World Cup meeting & then go to Hong Kong, Singapore & England. Browell declared bluntly: "The club is well aware we need to deliver one of these top-line international horses for the Cox Plate. It really is critical."
