Qld TattsBet Bans Gold Coast Professional Punters

Tuesday, 3rd April 2012

In Queensland, TattsBet has banned a group of professional punters from betting on its fixed odds markets because they have been "winning too much" reported goldcoast.com.au. Front-man Steven Bradley said his group wagered "$600,000 to $1 million a week" on races & declared it was unfair of TattsBet to refuse their business "just because they were beating the odds". He noted: "If they (TattsBet) are prepared to bet inflated odds, they are gambling with their own money." But chief executive Barrie Fletton confirmed TattsBet had begun limiting the punting group's activities in the fixed odds side of its business & emphasised TattsBet had "no problem with the group betting with the Queensland tote, but the bookmaking side of the organisation did not want the men's business". He summed up: "We are not in the business of giving money away. We manage customers that are overly successful. They are very successful fixed-price punters."
