In South Africa overnight, triple European Gr1-winning Coolmore shuttler Oratorio (Danehill-Mahrah, by Vaguely Noble) added a group success (& 19th individual stakes-winner world-wide) when Australian-bred colt Ottimo (Oratorio-Figure Of Eight, by Octagonal) scored by a neck in the R200,000 (A$25,000) Gr2 Umkhomazi Stakes (1200m) for 2YOs at Scottsville. Ottimo (riddden by Felix Coetzee for trainer Ivan Moore) defeated the gelding My Jelly Bean (Announce-Jelly Baby, by Jallad) & fellow colt Contador (Var-Fine Wood, by Fort Wood).
