US dual Gr1-winning 7YO stallion Fluke (Wild Event-Uff-uff, by De Quest) "has been retired from racing & will stand at his owner Patricia Bozano's farm Haras Doce Vale in Brazil" reported thoroughbredtimes.com. Brazilian-bred Fluke recorded 7 wins (including 2011's Gr1 Frank Kilroe Mile over 8 furlongs at Santa Anita & Gr3 Thunder Road Handicap over 8 furlongs at Santa Anita, plus 2009's Gr1 Citation Handicap over 8.5 furlongs at Hollywood Park & 2008's Brazilian Gr3 Premio Mario De Azevedo Ribeiro over 1400m at Gavea) & 6 runners-up (including 2010's Gr1 Frank Kilroe Mile over 8 furlongs at Santa Anita & Gr2 Arcadia Handicap over 8 furlongs at Santa Anita, plus 2008's Brazilian Gr1 Grande Premio Juliano Martins over 1600m at Cidade Jardim) from 16 starts for US$637,948 earnings. Fluke "is the 1st son of Wild Event to retire to stud in Brazil & is expected to be bred to in excess of 100 mares in his 1st season".
