King's Rose Gate 11 In HK Gr1 Champions Mile

Friday, 4th May 2012

In Hong Kong yesterday, Gr1-winning & multiple Gr1-placed 4YO mare King's Rose (Redoute's Choice-Nureyev's Girl, by Nureyev) drew barrier 11 in the 14-horse field for Sunday's Gr1 Champions Mile (1600m) at Sha Tin. Australian trainer Peter Moody commented: "We planned to ride her more conservatively in any case, so 11 is no real issue. There's a fair run to the 1st turn & the tempo should be fine. If she's 3-deep mid-field with cover, then that's okay." Click on the image to see the full field and form.
