Aust-Bred Amanee Wins South Africa Gr2

In South Africa, owner-breeder Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Maktoum's Australian-bred filly Amanee (Pivotal-Moon Is Up, by Woodman) scored a 0.75-length victory in the R250,000 (A$31,000) in the Gr2 Korea Racing Authority Fillies Guineas (1600m) for 3YO fillies at Greyville. Amanee (ridden by Derreck David for trainer Mike de Kock) defeated Reason To Believe (Captain Al-Crown Ridge, by Caesour) & Felix The Cat (Black Minnaloushe-Subyan Dreams, by Spectrum). Amanee took her record to 4 wins (also including 2011's Gr1 Thekwini Stakes over 1600m at Greyville) from 11 starts.
