Monday, 7th May 2012

In Ireland overnight, former European Horse-Of-The-Year & 6-time Gr1-winning Coolmore shuttler Dylan Thomas (Danehill-Lagrion, by Diesis) added a black-type success (& 2nd individual stakes-winner) when 3YO filly Tannery (Dylan Thomas-Danse Grecque, by Sadler's Wells) scored a 1.5-lengths victory against older rivals in the €60,000 (A$74,000) Listed Victor McCalmont Memorial Stakes (9.5 furlongs) for fillies & mares at Gowran Park. Tannery (ridden by Niall McCullagh for trainer David Wachman) defeated fellow 3YO filly Soon (Galileo-Classic Park, by Robellino) & 4YO mare Chrysanthemum (Danehill Dancer-Well Spoken, by Sadler's Wells).
