In Ireland overnight, multiple Gr1-winning Coolmore shuttler & former star Australian sprinter Choisir (Danehill Dancer-Great Selection, by Lunchtime) added a group success (& 38th individual stakes-winner world-wide) when 4YO mare Gossamer Seed (Choisir-Light And Airy, by Linamix) returned from a 6-months spell to score by 4.75-lengths in the €72,500 (A$90,000) Gr3 Atrhasi Stakes (7 furlongs) for fillies & mares at The Curragh. Gossamer Seed (ridden by S.Foley for trainer John Joseph Murphy) defeated 3YO fillies Bulbul (Shamardal-Oriental Fashion, by Marju) & Ishvana (Holy Roman Emperor-Song Of The Sea, by Bering). Gossamer Seed took her record to 3 wins & 3 placings from 13 starts; she was a bargain €1,000 (A$1,250) yearling at the 2009 Goresbridge Sale.
