UK Sire Mind Games Dies Aged 20

In the UK, 1995's Champion 3YO Sprinter Mind Games (Puissance-Aryaf, by Vice Regent) "died in his paddock at Bearstone Stud" aged 20 reported racingpost.com. Mind Games (sire of last season's French Gr1 Prix de l'Abbaye winner Tangerine Trees) retired to stand alongside his sire at Bearstone in 1997 & has subsequently produced the winners of 389 races & over £3.2 million (A$4.8m) prize-money. On the track, Mind Games (who was retired from stud duty in 2010 following 2 seasons at Yorton Farm) won 7 races (including the Gr2 Temple Stakes twice, Gr2 Norfolk Stakes, Gr3 Palace House Stakes & Listed Brocklesby Stakes at Doncaster) & over £200,000 (A$300,000).
