Owner "Keen To Run" Japanese Star In Melb Cup

Gr1-winning Japanese 5YO stayer Beat Black (Miscast-Alarm Call, by Brian's Time) who scored a 4-lengths victory in last month's Gr1 Tenno Sho-Spring (3200m) at Kyoto "is a strong chance to run in the Gr1 Melbourne Cup" reported The Herald-Sun. Racing Victoria's international recruiter Leigh Jordon was at Kyoto for Beat Black's latest victory (in which he clocked 3min 13.8sec, just 0.4sec outside the course record set by former superstar Deep Impact) & confirmed owner Koji Maeda "was keen to bring him for the Cup".
