ARB Raises Owner Limit From 10 To 20

Friday, 11th May 2012

The Australian Racing Board announced it has increased the maximum number of individual owners allowed per horse from 10 to 20. The change came at the request of the national body representing owners ATROC. "From talking to its members, ATROC believe increasing the cap from 10 to 20 will enhance interest in horse racing ownership" & the ARB "is keen to do everything possible to increase participation in race horse ownership". The rule amendment will come into effect from the start of the new racing season on August 1.
