US dual Gr1-winning 10-year-old 3rd-crop stallion Silver Train (Old Trieste-Ridden Inthe Stars, by Cormorant) "will shuttle to Siquiera & Mercadante in Brazil for the 2012 Southern Hemisphere breeding season" reported bloodhorse.com. On the track, Silver Train (who stands for US$7,000 at Northview Stallion Station in Pennsylvania) recorded 6 wins (including the US Gr1 Breeders' Cup Sprint, Gr1 Metropolitan Handicap, Gr2 Jerome Handicap & Gr2 Tom Fool Handicap) & 7 placings from 17 starts for US$1,259,345 earnings. Silver Train "ranked 2nd nationally by number of winners among US 2nd-crop sires last year".
