Monday, 14th May 2012

NZ Cambridge Stud's multiple champion sire Zabeel (Sir Tristram-Lady Giselle, by Nureyev) added a group success when 8YO gelding Hume (Zabeel-Lolette, by Arazi) scored a 0.75-length victory in the $115,000 Gr3 Chairman's Handicap (2000m) at Doomben. Hume (ridden by Scott Galloway for trainer Brian Smith) defeated 6YO geldings Ironstein (Zabeel-Gentle Genius, by Danehill) & Warrior Within (King Cugat-Ava Bolli, by Volksraad).
