1st Winner For US Freshman Sire Private Vow

US multiple Gr2-winning 9YO freshman stallion Private Vow (Broken Vow-Smooth As Silk, by Deputy Minister) recorded his 1st winner when front-running 2YO filly Private Rebel (Private Vow-Rebel Gal, by Honour And Glory) scored on debut over 4.5 furlongs at Evangeline Downs in Louisiana for trainer Anthony Agilar. Private Rebel was a US$17,500 yearling at the 2011 Louisiana Thoroughbred Breeders September Sale. Her sire Private Vow stands at Red River Farms in Louisiana for US$2,000. On the track, Private Vow recorded 4 wins (including both 2005's Gr2 Futurity Stakes at Belmont Park & Gr2 Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes at Churchill Downs, plus 3rd in 2006's Gr2 Arkansas Derby) from 12 starts for US$491,312 earnings.
