Adroitly Wins McKell Cup

Former Australian Horse-Of-The-Year & 10-times Gr1-winning stallion Octagonal (Zabeel-Eight Carat, by Pieces Of Eight) added a black-type success when 4YO gelding Adroitly (Octagonal-Easy Out, by Anabaa) scored a 0.75-length victory in yesterday's $100,000 Listed W.J.McKell Cup (2400m) at Royal Randwick in Sydney. Adroitly (ridden by Kerrin McEvoy for trainer Peter Snowden) defeated 6YO gelding Legsman (Pins-Snobbish, by Centaine) & 5YO gelding Reuben Percival (Al Akbar-Yachting Magic, by Yachtie). Adroitly took his record to 5 wins & 2 placings (including 2011's Listed City Tattersalls Club Cup over 2400m at Randwick) from 20 starts for $228,905 earnings.
