Former Coolmore shuttler Danehill Dancer (Danehill-Mira Adonde, by Sharpen Up) added a black-type success (& 135th individual stakes-winner world-wide) when 4YO mare Dame Claire (Danehill Dancer-Lovely Actress, by Kaldoun) scored a 1.25-lengths victory in the $150,000 Listed Andrew Ramsden Stakes (3200m) at Flemington in Melbourne. Dame Claire (ridden by Craig Newitt for trainer Pat Carey) defeated top-weighted 7YO gelding Maythehorsebemagic (Zabeel-Arletty, by Centaine) & 4YO gelding Crafty Cruiser (Good Journey-Sly One, by O'Reilly). Dame Claire (a NZ$30,000 yearling consigned by Monovale Farm at the 2009 NZ Bloodstock Premier Sale at Karala) took her record to 5 wins & 4 placings from 24 starts for $190,763 earnings.
