Pampelonne Wins Inglis Guineas

European Horse-Of-The-Year & 7-time Gr1-winning former Coolmore shuttler Rock Of Gibraltar (Danehill-Offshore Boom, by Be My Guest) added a feature success when favoured gelding Pampelonne (Rock Of Gibraltar-Jestajewel, by Rory's Jester) scored a 3.5-lengths victory in the $500,000 Inglis Guineas (1400m) for 3YOs at Scone. Pampelonne (ridden by Hugh Bowman for trainer Tim Martin) defeated the fillies Flying Fuji (Fusaichi Pegasus-La Reata, by Flying Spur) & Colorado Claire (Hussonet-Lunaspur, by Flying Spur). Pampelonne (a $140,000 yearling consigned by Kitchwin Hills at the 2010 Inglis Easter Sale in Sydney) now has 4 wins (also including April's Listed Gosford Guineas over 1200m at Gosford) & 2 runners-up from 6 starts for $647,900 earnings.
