Wealth Princess Wins Glenlogan Park Stakes

Deceased Gr1-winning NZ Grangewilliam Stud stallion San Luis (Flying Spur-Star Style Girl, by Without Fear) added a group success when favoured 6YO mare Wealth Princess (San Luis-Wealth Star, by Senor Pete) scored a 1.5-lengths victory in the $150,000 Gr3 Glenlogan Park Stakes (1350m) for fillies & mares at Doomben to claim this race for the 2nd time (having also won in 2010). Wealth Princess (ridden by Michael Walker for trainer Darren Weir) defeated 5YO mare Sophie's Spirit (Invincible Spirit-Sophie Princess, by Pompeii Court) & 4YO mare Alltherightmoves (Johannesburg-Princess Darcy, by Alquoz). Wealth Princess took her record to 7 wins (also including 2010's Gr3 Glenlogan Park Stakes over 1350m at Doomben & 2009's NZ Listed Newmarket Handicap over 1200m at Ellerslie) & 5 placings (including last start's Listed Wangoom Handicap over 1200m at Warrnambool on May 2, plus 2010's NZ Gr1 Waikato Draught Sprint over 1400m at Te Rapa, Gr1 Winter Stakes over 1400m at Eagle Farm & Gr2 Patinack Farm Dane Ripper Stakes over 1400m at Eagle Farm) from 13 starts for $427,529 earnings.
