The 3YO colt Invictus (Sulamani-Get Back, by Fast Gold) scored by a head in Brazil's Gr1 Grande Premio Sao Paulo (2400m on turf) at Cidade Jardim. Invictus (ridden by Jose Aparecido for trainer Venancio Nahid) defeated fellow 3YO colts Veraneio (Signal Tap-Personal Ensign, by Fitzcarraldo) & Didimo (Nedawi-Qualibet, by Burooj). Invictus took his record to 2 wins (also including 2011's Peru Listed Clasico Hipodromo De San Felipe over 1600m at Monterrico) & 8 placings (including April's Gr1 Grande Premio Cruzeiro So Sul-Derby Carioca over 2400m at Gavea & March's Gr1 Grande Premio Francisco Eduardo De Paula Machado over 2000m at Gavea, plus 2011's Gr1 Grande Premio Linneo De Paula Machado over 2000m at Gavea & Listed Classico Sandpit over 2000m at Gavea, as well as the Peru Gr1 Clasico Derby Nacional over 2400m at Monterrico, Peru Gr1 Clasico Ricardo Ortiz De Zevallos over 2000m at Monterrico, Peru Gr1 Clasico Polla De Potrillos-2000 Guineas over 1600m at Monterrico & Peru Listed Clasico Mario Manzur Chamy over 1400m at Monterrico) from 10 starts.
