Jockey Brad Pengelly Retires With Weight Problems

Friday, 25th May 2012

Jockey Brad Pengelly "has given up race riding after his weight got the better of him" reported racenet.com.au. Pengelly, 34,confirmed: "I've had enough of the wasting, so I've retired from race riding. I moved back to Sydney from Queensland to be closer to my son Bailey, but the climate down here made it too difficult for me to keep the weight off. Bailey's 14 & going really well with his footy. He's in the Sharks development squad & I want to be close to him; so going back to Queensland wasn't an option. I'm still riding track-work & I'm comfortable with the decision."
