Former shuttler Cape Cross (Green Desert-Park Appeal, by Ahonoora) added a UK black-type success when 5YO entire Jet Away (Cape Cross-Kalima, by Kahyasi) score a 2.75-lengths victory in the £35,000 (A$56,000) Listed Festival Stakes (10 furlongs) for 4YOs & up at Goodwood. Jet Away (ridden by Tom Queally for trainer Sir Henry Cecil) defeated Irish-bred 4YO entire Fiorente (Monsun-Desert Bloom, by Pilsudski) & Godolphin's Australian-bred 5YO entire Retrieve (Rahy-Hold To Ransom, by Red Ransom). Jet Away took his record to 6 wins & 3 runners-up (including 2011's Listed Tapster Stakes over 12 furlongs at Goodwood) from 13 starts for £65,333 (A$105,000) earnings.
