Oratorio Adds Italy Gr2

In Italy, triple European Gr1-winning Coolmore shuttler Oratorio (Danehill-Mahrah, by Vaguely Noble) added a group success when Irish-bred daughter Cherry Collect (Oratorio-Holy Moon, by Hernando) scored a 1.5-lengths victory in the €270,000 (A$346,000) Gr2 Oaks D'Italia (2200m) for 3YO fillies at San Siro in Milan. Cherry Collect (ridden by Fabio Branca for trainer Stefano Botti) defeated Angegreen (Ekraar-Sopran Danzas, by Astronef) & UK-bred Rosa Eglanteria (Nayef-Rose Shift, by Night Shift). Cherry Collect was a €65,000 (A$83,00) yearling at the 2010 Italian September Sale. Overall she now boasts 7 wins (also including April's Gr3 Premio Regina Elena over 1600m at the Capannelle, plus 2011's Listed Criterium Femminile over 1500m at the Capannelle, Listed Premio Repubbliche Marinare over 1500m at the Capannelle & Listeed Premio Gino Mantovani over 1500m at San Siro) & a runner-up (in 2011's Gr3 Premio Dormello over 1600m at San Siro) from 8 starts for €278,120 (A$356,000) earnings.
