Wednesday, 30th May 2012

Triple Gr1-winning Darley shuttler & US Eclipse Award-winning stallion Bernardini (A.P.Indy-Cara Rafaela, by Quiet American) added a US black-type success when front-running daughter Exclusive Diva (Bernardini-Puxa Saco, by Dehere) returned from a 9-months spell to race away for an 8.5-lengths victory in the US$50,000 Listed Seattle Handicap (6.5 furlongs) for 3YO fillies at Emerald Downs in Washington state. Exclusive Diva (ridden by Juan Gutierrez for trainer Tom Wenzel) defeated Royal Moses (Cahill Road-Miss Wagon Lode, by Wagon Limit) & Lady Hokulea (Roman Ruler-Tennis Lady, by Broad Brush). Exclusive Diva took her record to 3 wins (also including 2011's Listed Angie C Stakes over 6 furlongs at Emerald Downs) & a placing (in 2011's Listed Barbara Shinpoch Stakes over 8 furlongs at Emerald Downs) from 4 starts for US$70,605 earnings.
