In the UK overnight, shuttler & Gr1 Dubai World Cup winner Street Cry (Machiavellian-Helen Street, by Troy) added a group success when Queen Elizabeth II's US-bred 4YO entire Carlton House (Street Cry-Talented, by Bustino) returned from a 11-months spell to score a 1,75-lengths victory in the £55,000 (A$88,000) Gr3 Brigadier Gerard Stakes (10 furlongs) for 4YOs & up at Sandown Park. Favourite Carlton House (ridden by Ryan Moore for trainer Sir Michael Stoute) defeated fellow 4YO entires Sagramor (Pastoral Pursuits-Jasmick, by Definite Article) & Godolphin's Irish-bred Hunter's Light (Dubawi-Portmanteau, by Barathea). Carlton House (a gift from Sheikh Mohammed to the Queen) took his record to 3 wins (also including 2011's Gr2 Dante Stakes (over 10.5 furlongs at York) & 2 placings (including 2011's Gr1 English Derby over 12 furlongs at Epsom Downs) from 6 starts for £288,856 (A$462,000) earnings.
